My name is Nick G. Marulli and I suppose single mature gay male is probably the best description of my social demographic.
Born in Arizona in 1958, I grew up on the West Coast of the United States and spent most of my adult life living on the East Coast. Today I live in Tucson, Arizona.
I have been married and divorced twice, first to a woman, then to a man. I have two grown daughters from my first marriage of whom I am tremendously proud.
In 1997 I retired from the United States Navy after 20 years and later I retired from a second career with the U.S. Department of Defense. Most recently I worked at the University of Arizona. Today I am fully retired and not working.
In May, 2019, I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma (bone marrow cancer). This blog records the journey of my struggle with that disease. However, along the way I will also share what it’s like to age with deteriorating health and hopefully work out how to cope with the anxiety and challenges that inevitably brings. I do this in a tongue-in-cheek fashion, interjecting a little humor into even the darkest situations. I do this because, well, it’s my blog and I can do whatever the hell I want.
